Clinical pilates

Rehab-grade core training — prescribed by physiotherapists, not copied from fitness videos.

What It Entails

Strong from the centre out

Clinical Pilates adapts Joseph Pilates' method for injured and deconditioned bodies. A physiotherapist assesses your movement first, then prescribes mat and reformer exercises at exactly the right level — no generic class where you're left guessing.

It's our most-prescribed tool for chronic back pain, postnatal recovery, hypermobility and postural collapse from desk work. Sessions are one-to-one or in fours, so form is corrected in real time.

“After my second baby, my core felt gone. Twelve weeks of clinical Pilates and I deadlift more than before pregnancy.”

FAQs

Clinical Pilates questions

How is this different from gym Pilates?

A physiotherapist prescribes and supervises everything, groups cap at four, and exercises are chosen for your injury — not for the room's average.

I've never done Pilates. Can I start?

Most of our patients haven't. The assessment places you at the right level, and foundations are genuinely beginner-friendly.

Is it safe during pregnancy?

Yes, with modifications we apply automatically by trimester. Postnatal rehab — including diastasis recti — is one of our specialties.

What should I wear and bring?

Fitted, comfortable clothing and grip socks (available at reception). All reformers, mats and props are provided.
