About our clinic

Fifteen years, thirty-five clinicians and one simple belief: nobody should get used to living in pain.

Our Story

A neighborhood clinic built on hands-on care

Rivermend began in 2009 with two treatment tables and a waiting list of factory workers with bad backs. Word spread because we did something old-fashioned: we listened first, measured second, and treated third.

Today our Springfield clinic pairs licensed physiotherapists, chiropractors and massage therapists with modern equipment — but the method hasn't changed. Your first visit is a full hour. Your plan is written for your body, not a template. And your progress is re-tested every two weeks.

What Guides Us

Care with a backbone

01

Measure everything

Range of motion, strength scores, pain scales — recorded at visit one and re-tested until the numbers prove you're better.

02

Teach, don't just treat

You leave every session knowing exactly what to do at home, with video exercises and a direct line to your therapist.

03

No endless visits

Plans have an end date. Our goal is to discharge you — strong, educated and unlikely to need us again.

Leadership

Directed by clinicians, not corporations

Our clinical director, Dr. Alan Pierce, still treats patients four days a week. Every therapist completes 40 hours of continuing education a year — double the state requirement.
